State and Federal Tax Incentives Projects
What does a typical project look like? Most projects proceed along similar timelines and milestones. After performing an initial review of tax incentive eligibility, we will request from you some basic information and documents needed to prove your business' qualification.
For hiring-based tax incentives, we will review relevant employee information and in some cases, conduct brief interviews with selected employees. (See Enterprise Zone Hiring Credit, federal WOTC, federal WTW, and federal zone-based wage credits.) We than take care of all the research, paperwork, correspondence, and other tasks needed to certify your business' eligibility.
To claim asset-based tax incentives (like the enterprise zone Sales & Use Tax Credit), we will review the assets you have purchased during current and prior tax years. Our technical review will identify items that qualify under the tax incentive program's eligibility criteria.
In every project, we will document your eligibility, compute your tax incentives and report everything in a format that is ready for use by your accountant to actually claim benefits. When desired, we can even help you claim your tax refunds by amending your prior year returns. In any case, our experienced tax professionals are available to answer questions and to assist your accountant as needed.
